Heilongjiang Power Exchange Center has completed its first power transaction with Shanxi province, selling 900 MWh of renewable electricity, marking an expansion of the province's power export footprint.

The transaction, completed on August 28, broadens the consumption channels for Heilongjiang's renewable energy while supporting Shanxi in meeting its renewable energy consumption responsibility targets.

Since the start of this year, the exchange center has optimized its power export trading strategies, expanded demand space and widened export channels. As of now, contracted inter-provincial power exports for 2026 total 19.1 TWh, up 10% year on year and hitting a record high, with exports now covering 19 provincial-level regions.

The center has been conducting monthly and intra-month rolling transactions to facilitate the timely and full export of surplus renewable power, supporting local renewable consumption and cross-regional resource optimization. This year, it also completed its first power deliveries to Hubei and Ningxia, further improving its inter-provincial export framework.

State Grid Heilongjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. said it will continue to deepen power balance analysis, tap transmission channel potential and actively organize renewable power exports to promote green electricity nationwide.
