China's average precipitation reached 338.4 mm during summer (June-August), up 2.0% from the long-term average, according to a press conference held by the China Meteorological Administration in Sep 2026. The rainy season in North China started earlier and ended later than usual, extending 20 days longer with cumulative rainfall more than 70% above normal.
