China's national carbon market saw its benchmark carbon emission allowance (CEA) price close at 97.02 yuan/t on Sep 1, down 0.90% from the previous trading day, according to data from the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange. The market opened at 98.50 yuan/t, with the day's high at 98.50 yuan/t and low at 96.00 yuan/t. Total CEA volume reached 509,510 tonnes, with a turnover of 49.22 million yuan ($7.22 million). Listed contracts accounted for 209,510 tonnes (20.33 million yuan), while bulk contracts totaled 300,000 tonnes (28.89 million yuan). No one-way bidding transactions were conducted during the session.
