China's national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading system saw 21,092 tonnes of certified emission reductions (CERs) change hands on Aug 31, with turnover of 2.04 million yuan ($0.30 million) and an average price of 96.62 yuan/t, according to exchange data. Cumulative volume since the market's launch reached 21,706,778 tonnes as of Aug 31, with total turnover of 1.74 billion yuan.
