Follow-up: a few coking coal mines restart operations in Shanxi (Aug 27, 2026)

A coal mine in Linfen resumed production on August 27, but the overall pace of restarts across Shanxi remains slow, with suspensions concentrated in Changzhi's Qinyuan, Luliang and Jinzhong's Lingshi.

Most mines are proactively reducing output due to safety concerns, previous overproduction and underground conditions, with inspections ongoing across the province, keeping regional supply at low levels.
