Japan's crude steel output totaled 6.95 million tonnes in July 2026, up 0.4% year on year and 2.3% month on month, according to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation. Pig iron production reached 5.12 million tonnes, rising 1.2% YoY and 4.5% MoM.
