China's outbound direct investment reached $213.58 billion in 2025, up 11.1% year on year, with the total stock climbing to $3.4 trillion, according to a commerce ministry official at a State Council Information Office press conference on Aug 25. The country has ranked among the world's top three in outbound investment for nine consecutive years, with its share of global investment rising to 7.4%.
