Luo Haiying solar project connected to grid in Yunnan

PowerChina's Luo Haiying photovoltaic project in Chuxiong, Yunnan province, has been fully connected to the grid and put into commercial operation.

The 35 MW project, located in Bicheng town, Lufeng city, has an installed capacity of 43.9 MW and includes a new 35 kV switching station, covering approximately 730 mu. PowerChina Kunming Engineering Corp led the EPC contracting, with Sinohydro Bureau 15 responsible for construction.

Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate 59.96 GWh of electricity annually, saving about 17,600 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 46,200 tonnes per year.

The project marks another milestone in PowerChina's efforts to support China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals and Yunnan's green energy development strategy.
