Anhui province's raw coal output fell in June, while power generation increased, with solar power posting particularly strong growth.

June raw coal output from industrial enterprises above the designated size stood at 8.42 million tonnes, down 5.2% year on year, according to the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics.

January-June raw coal output totaled 52.56 million tonnes, down 0.8% from the same period last year.

Power generation from industrial enterprises above the designated size reached 29.37 TWh in June, up 2.6% year on year.

Thermal, hydro and solar power generation rose 2.4%, 9.9% and 12.6% respectively, while wind power generation fell 7.4%. January-June power generation stood at 170.02 TWh, up 4.8% from a year earlier.
