China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. reported May commercial coal output and sales, with output falling year on year while sales rose.
Commercial coal output in May was 41.70 million tonnes, down 4.1% year on year but up 2.7% from the previous month. Coal sales reached 50.50 million tonnes, up 11.7% from a year earlier but down 1.2% month on month.

The company said its share-and-cash acquisition of assets from parent China Energy Investment Group (CHN Energy) has been completed. Starting from April 2026, its operating data includes volumes from the newly acquired assets, with prior-year figures restated for comparability.
