Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) is seeking 400 Kt in 5 Panamax size vessels (each 80 Kt) of low-S thermal coal with minimum calorific value of 6,200 Kcal/kg GAR through a tender that is due to close by 5:00 p.m. Feb 24 (Taipei time). Bidders can submit prices on both an FOBT port of loading and CFR port of discharging basis. These cargoes are required to be delivered b/t Apr and early Jun, with supply open for Australia, Canada, Mainland China, Colombia, Kazakhstan, S Africa, and the U.S., according to an announcement on its official website.
