On Oct 23, one major miner in Qipanjing of Inner Mongolia started an online auction of low-S fat coal (S 0.8%, A 12%) at 1,370 yuan/t and closed the deal at 1,390 yuan/t, down 30 yuan/t from the previous settlement on Oct 18, sending the total decline to 80 yuan/t in Oct. The miner also concluded an auction of mid-S fat coal (S 1%, A 15%) at 1,190 yuan/t after starting at 1,170 yuan/t, down 30 yuan/t compared to the previous trade, taking the aggregate decrease to 110 yuan/t in the month.
