Austria's National Council passed a new round of fuel price intervention measures on September 28 to ease pressure from recent fuel price increases. Under the measures, Austria will cut the mineral oil tax on gasoline and diesel in October and November 2026, while limiting profit margins on fuel sales. On the same day, Spanish Minister for Ecological Transition Teresa Ribera said Spain will cap natural gas price increases at 15% and set a ceiling on liquefied petroleum gas prices.
