Jinneng Holding Shanxi Coal Industry Co.,Ltd. reported a 17.43% year-on-year decline in net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half of 2026, despite a 2.57% rise in revenue.
The company posted operating revenue of 6.12 billion yuan($0.90 billion) for January-June 2026, with net profit attributable to shareholders at 723 million yuan. Excluding non-recurring items, net profit fell 17.50% year on year to 716 million yuan. Basic earnings per share stood at 0.43 yuan.
In the second quarter, the company's gross margin reached 38.13%, up 1.08 percentage points from a year earlier and 5.01 percentage points from the previous quarter. Net margin was 17.46%, up 2.51 percentage points year on year and 2.45 percentage points quarter on quarter.
During the reporting period, the company produced 20.21 million tonnes of coal, up 17.37% year on year, while commercial coal sales rose 5.55% to 14.03 million tonnes, generating 5.92 billion yuan in revenue. The Tashan mine contributed 15.79 million tonnes of output and 10.18 million tonnes of sales, while the Selian mine produced 4.42 million tonnes and sold 3.86 million tonnes.
Period expenses totaled 343 million yuan in the first half, up 109 million yuan from a year earlier, with the expense ratio rising 1.68 percentage points to 5.61%. Selling expenses increased 17.38% year on year, while administrative expenses fell 3.06%. Research and development expenses surged 1,915,270.09% and financial expenses rose 154.06% compared with the same period last year.
Net cash flow from operating activities reached 1.37 billion yuan in the first half, up 108.19% year on year.
The company's debt-to-asset ratio stood at 22.15% at the end of the reporting period, down 15.56 percentage points year on year. The current ratio was 2.89 and the quick ratio 2.83. Total debt amounted to 585 million yuan, all of it short-term.
