Indonesia approves revised 2026 RKAB for nickel, coal miners

Indonesia's mining ministry has approved revised 2026 work plans and budgets (RKAB) for about a dozen nickel companies and dozens of coal miners, allowing some previously suspended mines to resume operations, Director General of Minerals Tri Winarno said. However, members of the Indonesian Nickel Miners Association (APNI) confirmed they have not yet received the revised RKAB documents. Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia earlier said quota adjustments would be made prudently, prioritizing companies with higher mining royalty rates, and declined to disclose specific output increases to avoid impacting global prices.
