China has launched a new coal transport model that sends Xinjiang coal to Shanxi for local blending before shipping it via the Daqin railway to Qinhuangdao port, according to state broadcaster CCTV.The first train carrying Xinjiang coal blended in Shanxi departed Aug 22 from a dedicated line under China State Railway Group's Taiyuan bureau, marking the official start of the "Xinjiang coal into Shanxi, local blending, Daqin outbound transport" model that broadens coal shipping channels.
