Yankuang Energy has put its Hailesihao coal loading station into operation in Ordos, completing another link in the company's coal transport rail network in the Shaanxi-Inner Mongolia region.

The station, located south of the Zhuanlongwan coal mine, connects the Dongwu railway to the west and the Bazhun railway to the east. It covers 41.1 hectares with a 3.74 km new connecting line, six tracks and 18.79 km of laid rail, with an annual transport capacity of 10 million tonnes.

The Shaanxi-Inner Mongolia region serves as a key growth area for the company, where coal transport efficiency directly affects competitiveness and market position.

Yankuang Energy has been expanding its logistics network in northwest China, with the Chahannao station already operating, Yingpanhao running steadily and the Jijitan station under accelerated construction.

The Hailesihao project also completes the "last mile" of coal transport from the Zhuanlongwan mine, strengthening the integrated production-transport-sales system and improving access to eastern coastal and southern industrial markets.

The "two-level company" structure refers to Shandong Energy Group at the group level and Yankuang Energy with its directly affiliated subsidiaries at the execution level, with the Shaanxi-Inner Mongolia region implementing both group strategy and operational directives.

Yankuang Energy has designated the Shaanxi-Inner Mongolia region as its core growth pole and strategic focus, pursuing a strategy of stabilizing Shandong operations while expanding into other provinces and optimizing overseas assets.

The company currently operates four 10-million-tonne-class mines in the region — Jijitan, Shilawusu, Yingpanhao and Zhuanlongwan — with approved capacity of 44.20 million tonnes per annum and recoverable coal reserves exceeding 3 billion tonnes. It is also advancing construction of the Huolinhe No.1, Liusangedan, Galutu coal mines and the Caosiyao molybdenum mine.

The Chahannao station, the first rail loading facility built by Yankuang Energy in the region, primarily serves the Shilawusu mine. It connects to the Haoji and Wari railways, shipping coal to East and Central China markets as well as western Inner Mongolia and Ningdong, while also linking to coastal ports via northern transport corridors. Its initial design capacity is 7 million tonnes per annum, with potential expansion to 15 million tonnes.

The Yingpanhao station, located in Uxin Banner, Ordos, connects to the Wushenqi South station and mainly serves the Yingpanhao mine, with provisions for a belt connection to the Galutu mine. It also handles coal from nearby mines including Baijiahaizi, Bayanchaidamu and Buriqi. Designed capacity is 15 million tonnes per annum with long-term plans for 30 million tonnes, featuring a circular loading line with reserved double-loop capability for 10,000-tonne trains and 100,000 tonnes of storage capacity.
