PowerChina Hebei Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of PowerChina, has achieved full-capacity grid connection for the Hebei Jiantou Weichang 200MW photovoltaic-storage demonstration project, supporting the expansion of a clean energy base in Chengde, Hebei province.

The project, with a total installed capacity of 200MW, includes a 220kV booster station and a 30MW/120MWh energy storage facility. It is a key new energy project under Hebei province's 14th "Five-Year Plan". The 30MW/120MWh storage system provides peak shaving, frequency regulation and output smoothing for the PV plant, enhancing grid stability and serving as a model for integrated PV-storage development aligned with the province's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.

The project is expected to strengthen renewable energy absorption capacity in the northern Hebei grid, support the construction of the Chengde 100GW clean energy base and facilitate the green conversion of wind and solar resources on the Bashang plateau.
