Anhui's solar power peak output reached 39.33 GW recently, setting a fifth record this year, according to State Grid's newspaper.

New energy peak output in the province has climbed to 41.63 GW since the start of the year, also a fifth record. Amid sustained summer heat, provincial power loads have remained elevated, with new energy meeting over 60% of real-time demand during peak hours, making it a key pillar for summer power supply security.

Anhui's installed new energy capacity has surpassed 70 GW, with solar reaching 59.31 GW, solidifying its position as the province's largest power source, while the wind-solar mix continues to improve.

State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co. has optimized grid-connection services for new energy, adding 3.17 GW of new grid-connected capacity in the first half. It has accelerated new energy storage commissioning, guided thermal units through flexibility retrofits, upgraded the main grid and distribution networks, and leveraged source-grid-load-storage coordination to unlock dispatch resources, while expanding consumption space through inter-regional and inter-provincial trading.

The company is also advancing "four-capability" upgrades for distributed solar, refining spot trading rules under the Yangtze River Delta power market, and building a multi-tiered market-based consumption system to strengthen new energy supply security. It will continue to improve grid services, dispatch precision and consumption efficiency to safeguard summer power supply.
