Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed crude futures' main contract for October 2026 delivery closed at 585.80 yuan/barrel on Aug 19, up 10.40 yuan, or 1.81%. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 155,344 lots, while open interest fell 3,669 lots to 77,349 lots. The main contract saw volume of 115,650 lots, with open interest rising 1,939 lots to 43,132 lots.
