Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed crude oil futures for October delivery closed at 584.80 yuan/barrel on Aug 18, 2026, up 25.20 yuan, or 4.5%. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 180,526 lots, while open interest fell 526 lots to 81,018 lots. The main contract saw volume of 98,703 lots, with open interest rising 4,263 lots to 41,193 lots.
