China's Ministry of Water Resources said that as of 9 a.m. on Aug 18, 40 rivers in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Zhejiang and other regions remained above warning levels, with the maximum exceedance reaching 2.37 meters, of which seven rivers remained above guarantee levels.
