China exported 770,000 tonnes of coal in July 2026, down 1.6% year on year but up 26.23% from the previous month, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.

Export value reached $123.05 million in July, up 25.3% year on year and 47.13% month on month. The implied average export price stood at $159.80/t, up $35.74/t from a year earlier and $22.71/t from June.
During January-July 2026, cumulative coal exports totaled 3.53 million tonnes, down 14.1% year on year, with export value at $530.67 million, down 12.6%.
Coke and semi-coke exports in July fell 51.8% year on year to 430,000 tonnes, with value down 43.7% at $80.63 million. January-July cumulative exports rose 0.9% to 4.44 million tonnes, with value up 2.3% at $780.06 million.
Cement and clinker exports surged 98.6% year on year to 2.01 million tonnes in July, with value up 66.8% at $75.44 million. January-July cumulative exports jumped 200.5% to 15.52 million tonnes, with value up 144.9% at $578.53 million.
Urea exports totaled 400,000 tonnes in July, down 28.9% year on year, with value down 13.7% at $180.96 million. January-July cumulative exports rose 40.7% to 910,000 tonnes, with value up 60.7% at $379.47 million.
