Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed crude oil futures for the main contract 2610 settled at 561.60 yuan/barrel on Aug 17, 2026, up 11.10 yuan, or 2.02%. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 178,147 lots, while open interest fell 1,693 lots to 81,544 lots. The main contract saw volume of 77,604 lots, with open interest rising 2,301 lots to 36,930 lots.
