Hami's predicted coal resources stand at 570.8 billion tonnes, accounting for one-eighth of China's total and one-third of Xinjiang's, according to the Xinjiang Daily. In the first half of the year, coal outbound shipments from Hami rose 25.2% year on year, representing 49.1% of total output.
