Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd., a unit of China Energy Investment Corp, exceeded its July production targets for both coal and chemical products, the company said on Augst 4, as it strives to ensure stable energy supply during the summer peak demand season.
The company is the dominant player in the region's coal production, with output representing around 70% of Ningxia's total, serving as the most critical pillar ensuring local energy supply security.
Commercial coal output reached 4.98 million tonnes in July, 1.6% above plan, while chemical product output totaled 1.01 million tonnes, 0.8% above target, the company said.
The company noted that its coal division is optimising mining schedules and maximising advanced capacity release while maintaining safety standards. The sales unit is tracking long-term contract delivery rates and coal consumption at major regional power plants, with measures including priority rail transport, dynamic inventory adjustments and on-site coordination to stabilise fuel reserves for grid peak demand.
The chemical division, following completion of major maintenance and capacity upgrades, is maintaining full-load continuous operations through refined process control, ensuring supply of oil products, polyolefins and methanol while stabilising output of high-end coal-based new materials for downstream industries.
To complete the supply chain, the company is leveraging its integrated coal-chemical-transport operations, with a 24-hour dispatch centre matching mine capacity, chemical feedstock needs and outbound delivery plans. Safety measures including heat prevention, flood and lightning protection for equipment, and closed-loop hazard inspections are being strictly enforced.
