Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed crude oil futures for September 2026 delivery settled at 538.00 yuan/barrel on Aug 4, down 11.50 yuan, a decline of 2.09%. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 135,872 lots, while open interest fell by 267 lots to 75,619 lots. The main contract saw volume of 101,034 lots, with open interest down 881 lots to 31,913 lots.
