China's national carbon market prices slip 1.13% on Aug 4

China's national carbon market saw its benchmark price close at 98.56 yuan on Aug 4, down 1.13% from the previous trading day, according to data from the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange. The market opened at 99.30 yuan/t, with the day's trading range spanning 97.50-99.95 yuan/t. Total carbon emission allowance (CEA) volume reached 1,842,977 tonnes, with a combined turnover of 178.99 million yuan ($26.36 million), comprising 916,241 tonnes in listed contracts (90.30 million yuan) and 926,736 tonnes in bulk contracts (88.69 million yuan), with no one-way bidding conducted.
