China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued a plan for green and low-carbon industrial development during the 15th "Five-Year Plan" period (2026-2030), aiming to further optimize the industrial structure and energy consumption mix by 2030. The plan targets peaking carbon dioxide emissions in the industrial sector, steadily improving energy and resource efficiency, significantly increasing the share of green energy use, improving the green manufacturing and service systems, and consolidating the competitive edge of green and low-carbon industries.
