A powerful methane gas explosion at a coal mine in Balochistan's Sorange area on July 30 caused two adjacent mine shafts to collapse, provincial mining officials said. The blast occurred in a remote area near the provincial capital Quetta, with 36 miners underground at the time. At least 11 miners have been confirmed dead, while 25 remain missing, according to the provincial mining minister.
