China's Guangdong Wantai Supply Chain and Kazakhstan's Taraz Production Plant LLP launched construction of a 61-bln-tenge ($128 million) steel plant in Taraz, Kazakhstan, on Jul 28, according to Kazinform. The plant is designed to produce up to 1 Mt of steel products annually, with the first phase due in early 2028.
