China invested 515.1 billion yuan in water conservancy construction in the first half of the year, launching 33,000 projects nationwide, the Ministry of Water Resources said. Major backbone water network projects, including the water resource allocation scheme around the Beibu Gulf and the Guxian water control hub on the Yellow River, are being accelerated.
