Russia's Gazprom set a new all-time high for daily natural gas deliveries to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline on July 25, marking the third such record since the start of 2026, multiple local media outlets reported, citing the company's statement.

Gazprom noted that supplies are being made under a long-term purchase agreement with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The precise volume was not disclosed.

The two previous daily records this year were posted on January 10 and January 12, underscoring a sustained upward trend that began during the 2025-2026 winter season.

In June, the company said it planned to export more than 40 billion cubic meters (bcm) via the route in 2026. Last autumn Gazprom and CNPC reached an understanding that could eventually lift the pipeline's annual capacity to 44 bcm, or around 126 bcm per day, though the company has yet to say when supplies might rise within that range.

Meanwhile, Moscow and Beijing have made significant headway in talks on the proposed Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline, but a final deal has not been signed and a number of details still need to be resolved, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in May.
