China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. said on Jul 24 its board had unanimously approved a plan to establish a coal technology research institute in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, with an investment of 1 billion yuan. The unit, tentatively named Guoneng Inner Mongolia Coal Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., aims to support parent CHN Energy's coal industry innovation strategy in the region.
