China securities regulator holds talks with market participants, pledges to strengthen market stability

China's securities regulator held a series of symposiums with listed companies, industry institutions and experts from Jul 20-21 to solicit opinions, according to a statement. Participants said the economy is on a stable footing with improving quality, and the capital market has undergone profound changes since the release of the new "nine guidelines", with the effects of comprehensive investment and financing reforms continuing to emerge. The regulator said it will seriously study the suggestions, address market concerns, strengthen the basic system to enhance the market's inherent stability, improve the long-term protection mechanism for investors' legitimate rights and interests, and better promote the long-term stable and healthy development of the capital market.
