China coal imports surge 29.5% YoY in Jun, Indonesian shipments hit near-record

China imported 42.78 million tonnes of coal in June 2026, up 29.5% year on year and 28.6% month on month, according to data from the General Administration of Customs. Imports from Indonesia rose 43.9% YoY and 35.3% MoM to 16.73 million tonnes, the second-highest monthly level this year.
