Coal shipments for export via the Russian Railways network increased 19.6% YoY to 16.9 Mt in Jun 2026, according to the company's press service. Of this, 15.5 Mt of coal were transported to ports, up 24.2% YoY. Specifically, 9.6 Mt were sent to Far East ports (+14.4%), 2.4 Mt to S ports (a 1.7-fold increase), and 3.7 Mt to NW ports (+31.9%). Total coal shipments across the Russian Railways network rose 11.1% YoY to 27.6 Mt in Jun. Coal accounted for 30.6% of the total shipments in Jun (compared to 27.8% in 2025). In H1 2026, 166 Mt of coal were shipped via the Russian Railways network (+1.8% YoY), including 93.9 Mt for export (+6.1%).
