China's coking coal auction market had 389.85 Kt (mainly primary coking coal, fat coal, lean coal, and 1/3 coking coal) listed on Dec 24, and the unsold rate rose 16 pps DoD to 32%. The average closing premium for all sold lots was 16.22 yuan/t. Pricy coal grades remained less attractive to buyers with muted trading. Most coking plants kept on-demand purchases for feed coal, showing little urgency to continue restocking, weighing on overall transactions. The sold lots experienced both rises and falls with changes ranging 5-56 yuan/t in settlements compared to previous levels.
