A gas outburst at a coal mine in Zhenxiong county, southwest China's Yunnan province, around 20 p.m. on December 24, left four mine workers dead and three missing, according to a CCTV report.

Rescue teams, including firefighters, were mobilized to carry out urgent rescue operations.

Rescue operations are ongoing, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is also underway.
