In Ordos, thermal coal prices showed mixed movements. Some mines saw improved sales of low- and mid-CV coal, with prices rising by 5-10 yuan/t. One mine offered washed coal (CV 5,000, S 0.6%) at 525 yuan/t, mine-mouth with VAT, up 5 yuan/t, with a cumulative increase of 15 yuan/t recently. Demand from railway station-based traders remained moderate, and while some mines faced continued price pressure, the approach of month-end and the completion of annual production tasks led to reduced output and shutdowns at several mines. This slightly tightened supply, and along with an uptick in stocking demand from long-distance buyers and nearby coal yards, the number of coal trucks increased at some mines.
