Ordos, a major coal heartland in northern China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reached 812 million tonnes of raw coal output from January to November, up 6.2% year on year (YoY), accounting for about 19% of China's total output and 69% of the autonomous region, according to the local statistics bureau.

Coal production reached 83.2 million tonnes in November, continuing to maintain a high level, data showed.

Ordo sold 778 million tonnes of coal during the first 11 months, up 0.6% YoY, and has completed 92% of the annual sales target of 850 million tonnes.

The city generated 188.14 TWh of electricity during first eleven months of this year, rising 11.3% YoY, accounting for about 25% of the autonomous region's power generation and marking the 99% completion of the annual target of 190 TWh.

The renewable energy power generation stood at 13.29 TWh, up 46.2% YoY.

Ordos produced a total of 29.04 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the same period, up 1.1% YoY, accounting for about 13% of the national total output. It has completed 94% of the annual target of 31 billion cubic meters.

Coal-to-liquid production reached 1.15 million tonnes from January to November, increasing 10.6% YoY. Coal-to-gas production reached 1.32 billion cubic meters, up 0.5% YoY.
