All 20 Sxcoal-surveyed coking plants held prices stable on Dec 25. On Dec 25, some Hebei-based steelmakers launched the fifth round of coke price cut of 50-55 yuan/t. Coke-making costs dropped as price declines of coking coal were higher than that of coke. This ensured cokemakers' production enthusiasm and normal coke supplies. With concentrated overhauls of blast furnaces, most steel mills controlled coke purchases, exerting pressure on coke stocks at coking plants.
