Over Dec 12-20, daily power generation from the China Electricity Council-monitored leading coal-fired power plants (67% of China's total installed coal power capacity) fell 3.4% WoW and 10.6% YoY; daily heating increased 6.8% WoW and 19.6% YoY; daily coal burns dropped 2.8% WoW and 10.5% YoY. Daily coal burns at power plants via seaway transport ascended 0.5% WoW but declined 7.7% YoY; daily sea-carried coal intakes at these plants fell 0.4% WoW and 10.2% YoY. Coal stocks at the above-mentioned power plants were at 130.43 Mt, up 18.03 Mt YoY, CEC data showed.
