Mongolia's railway-carried coal shipments were registered at 1.58 million tonnes in November 2024, up 5.29% from the previous month, marking the second consecutive month of growth, showed data from the National Statistical Office of Mongolia.

The shipments, however, dipped 0.06% compared with the year-ago level.

Iron ore shipments via railway stood at 871,700 tonnes in the same month, surging 171.64% year on year yet down 0.13% from October, which experienced four months' reductions.

Mongolian railways' coal shipments amounted to 16.62 million tonnes in the first 11 months this year, climbing 13.14% year on year, while iron ore shipments totaled 9.55 million tonnes, growing 86.56% from the year-ago level.
