Chinese key steel mills produced 2.17 million tonnes of crude steel averagely each day in November, down 0.1% month on month (MoM), according to data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In November, the daily pig iron output declined 0.3% MoM to 1.98 million tonnes, while finished steel output reached 2.24 million tonnes each day, up 1.2% MoM.

The total output of crude steel, pig iron and finished steel reached 65.03 million tonnes, 59.29 million tonnes and 67.27 million tonnes in the same month, up 1.4%, 0.5% and 2.2% year on year (YoY), respectively.

In January-November, the daily output of crude steel, pig iron and finished steel of these firms stood at 2.25 million tonnes, 2.02 million tonnes and 2.25 million tonnes, respectively.

In the first eleven months, their crude steel output decreased 2.5% YoY to 755 million tonnes. Pig iron output dropped 2.8% YoY to 676 million tonnes, while finished steel production fell 1.5% YoY to 755 million tonnes.
