Central China's Hubei province consumed 21.77 TWh of electricity in November 2024, rising 3.04% year on year, according to data from the local development and reform commission.

The primary industries, mainly the agricultural sector, consumed 282 GWh of electricity, up 8.55% from the year-ago level; the secondary industries, mainly the industrial sector, used 13.78 TWh, up 2.73% on the year; the tertiary industries, mainly the service sector, used 4.33 TWh, up 4.21% from the previous year.

The residential power consumption was 3.38 TWh in the same month, increasing 2.43% from the previous year, data showed.

The province's power generation was 20.15 TWh (excluding the volume contributed by Three Gorges) in November, a 12.18% growth on the year.

Hydropower plants generated 2.02 TWh of electricity (excluding the Three Gorges) in November, slumping 50.13% from a year ago. Thermal power generation was 14.24 TWh, a year-on-year rise of 35.83%; wind power was 1.43 TWh, falling 13.13% from the previous year; solar energy generated 2.47 TWh, climbing 37.97%.
