China produced 427.98 million tonnes of raw coal in November 2024, up 1.8% from a year ago, narrowing by 2.8 percentage points from October, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on December 16.

The output was 3.93% higher than the month-ago level, the NBS data showed.

The daily raw coal output averaged at 14.27 million tonnes in November, up 7.39% or 0.98 million tonnes from 13.28 million tonnes in October and rising 467,000 tonnes from 13.8 million tonnes in the same month last year.

China churned out 4.32 billion tonnes of raw coal over the first eleven months, increasing 1.2% year on year, staying flat from the January-October growth.
