Northwestern China's Qinghai province generated 91.78 TWh of electricity from January to November, up 1.4% from a year earlier, according to data released by local energy bureau.

Hydropower output declined 7.7% year on year to 36.2 TWh, thermal power rose 5.3% YoY to 14.2 TWh, solar power was up 13.3% YoY to 26.65 TWh and wind power increased 3.2% YoY to 14.73 TWh.

In the first eleven months of the year, Qinghai's power consumption totaled 92.5 TWh, rising 10.3% from the preceding year.

For the non-residential segment, the primary industries, mainly the agricultural sector, consumed 120 GWh of electricity during this period, up 5% year on year; the secondary industries, mainly the industrial sector, used 82.26 TWh of electricity, a 9.8% increase YoY; the tertiary industries, mainly the service sector, registered a 19.6% rise to 5.94 TWh.

Residential consumption rose 7.3% on the year to 4.17 TWh over the January to November period.

In November alone, the province's outbound electricity reached 1.59 TWh, up 21.3% on the year, while purchased electricity increased 75.5% from the year-ago level to 2.04 TWh.
