Central China's Hubei province consumed 21.13 TWh of electricity in November, up 12.0% year on year, according to data from the local development and reform commission.

The primary industries, mainly the agricultural sector, consumed 260 GWh of electricity, rising 3.99% from the year-ago level; that of the secondary industries, mainly the industrial sector, totaled 13.41 TWh, up 9.12% on the year; the tertiary industries, mainly the service sector, used 4.16 TWh, up 24.75%.

The residential power consumption was 3.30 TWh, increasing 10.28% from the previous year.

Total power consumption was 246.15 TWh during January to November, up 1.76% year on year. The power consumption of all three industries increased on the year, while the residential use fell 4.56% on the year to 47.98 TWh in the first eleven months.

The province's power generation was 17.96 TWh (excluding the volume contributed by Three Gorges) in November, up 6.10% year-on-year. The cumulative output reached 218.66 TWh from January to November (excluding the Three Gorges), up 3.46% year-on-year.

Hydropower plants generated 4.05 TWh of electricity (excluding the Three Gorges) in November, surging 111.50% from a year ago. Thermal power generation was 10.48 TWh, a year-on-year decline of 18.68%; wind power was 1.65 TWh, increasing 23.90% from the previous year; solar energy generated 1.79 TWh, a year-on-year increase of 123.64%.
