S Africa exported 4.75 Mt of bituminous coal exports in Oct, down 13.5% YoY but up 1.61% MoM, representing 82.95% of the country's total; exports of other coal stood at 939.5 Kt, up 44.89% YoY but down 3.28% MoM, making up 16.4%; and anthracite exports were 37.4 Kt, far higher than 19,800 t in Oct 2022 and 600 t in Sep this year. The exports of thermal coal reached 5.69 Mt, falling 7.74% YoY but ticking up 0.77% MoM, accounting for 99.3 % of the total coal exports.
